An apparatus for maintaining healthy human relations in an MS(Mobile Station) and a method therefor are provided to generate a warning signal in voice and message type if the MS is not used for a certain period, and to perform a personal secretary function for reminding a user whether a call is necessary by outputting an image of an acquaintance, thereby improving human relations between the user and friends in a healthy type. In standby state, a controller drives a timer unit for counting predetermined time, and confirms whether the timer unit is in operated state(S100-S120). If the counting process of the timer unit is completed, the controller adds an accumulated value 1 to a flag(S130,S140). The controller searches/outputs a warning signal corresponding to the flag's accumulated value, and searches images corresponding to recent call lists to sequentially display the searched images in set time unit(S150,S160). If communication is confirmed, the controller stops counting the predetermined unit time of the timer unit, and initializes a flag unit(S170,S180). If the communication is voice message communication, the controller performs call connection and communication(S190,S210). If the communication refers to message transmission, the controller writes a message to send the message(S200).
