A goods reference server and an operation method thereof are provided to enable a user to conveniently purchase goods at lower price by providing a mobile terminal with the lowest price information for the goods requested from the mobile terminal and collecting/providing the closest shop information from a current location of the mobile terminal. A sale information database(601) stores goods ID information and detail goods data, which includes the lowest price information for goods and more than one shop information matched with low price information. A receiver(602) receives a goods search request from the mobile terminal. A sale information generator(603) reads the detail goods data matched with the goods ID information included in the goods search request from the sale information database and generates the shop information by applying a predetermined sorting rule to the read detail goods data. A transmitter(604) transmits the generated sale information to the mobile terminal. The predetermined sorting rule is based on a difference between the current location of the mobile terminal and a shop location.
