IMAGE READING APPARATUS, IMAGE FORMATION APPARATUS, IMAGE PROCESSING SYSTEM, MEMORY AREA SHARING METHOD FOR IMAGE READING APPARATUS, AND MEMORY AREA SHARING METHOD FOR IMAGE PROCESSING SYSTEM
An image reading device, an image formation device, an image processing system, a memory area sharing method for the image reading device, and the memory area sharing method for the image processing system are provided to implement a high performance function such as electronic sort in a printer by applying a hard disk installed in a scanner to the printer in a scanner/printer system. The scanner(2) includes a reader(6) generating image data by reading a document, the hard disk(8) storing the generated image data, and a mount processing approver approving a mounting process of the storing part to the printer when the printer(3) is connected through a communication interface(51). The printer includes a mount processor(11) performing the mounting process of the storing part in case that the mounting process is approved from the scanner when the scanner is connected through the communication interface(52). The printer stores the image data received from other communication interfaces to the storing part processing the mounting process by the mounting processor.
