After partitions are formed on the substrate, the unit phosphor region is formed on the substrate, or the conductive layer is partially removed, a resist layer(43) is formed to electrically connect the anode unit with adjacent anode unit. The step of removing the conductive layer from the partition includes attaching a release member on the conductive layer and mechanically peeling the release member.
