A method for obtaining current location information of a mobile terminal on the basis of an SIP in a mobile SCTP is provided to define a new SIP method capable of enabling a fixed terminal to acquire the current IP(Internet Protocol) address of the mobile terminal, thereby minimizing the time required for the fixed terminal to acquire the current IP address and accordingly minimizing the tine required for the fixed terminal to establish mSCTP(mobile Stream Control Transfer Protocol) association. A Via header field(210) is a header field requested for a new method. In the Via header field(210), addresses of fixed terminals which wait to receive a response to the request of the new method are included. A 'To' header field(220) comprises user IDs(Identifications) and SIP URIs(Session Initiation Protocol Uniform Resource Identifier)(120) of mobile terminals. A 'From' header fielder(230) comprises user IDs and SIP URIs of the fixed terminals. A 'Contact' header fielder(240) comprises SIP URIs capable of directly contacting with the fixed terminal.
