TERMINAL FOR GUIDING THE TRAFFIC INFORMATION BY USING GROBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM WHICH IS CAPABLE OF SIMULTANEOUSLY DOWNLOADING ROAD INFORMATION DATA AND VOICE DATA AND METHOD FOR DOWNLOADING SIMULTANEOUSLY THEREOF
A road information provision GPS(Global Positioning System) terminal capable of downloading road information data and voice data at the same time and a simultaneous downloading method are provided to accurately provide road information reflecting the changed states of the road by storing the road information data and voice data downloaded from a GPS content provision server at the same time, in a memory of a GPS module and then providing the road information on the basis of the stored voice data and road information data. A road information provision GPS terminal capable of downloading road information data and voice data at the same time includes a communication interface unit(72) connected with an external device communicating with a content provision server to receive the road information data and voice data from the outside; a GPS module(20) storing the road information data and voice data input through the communication interface unit, searching the coordinate data corresponding to a satellite signal, and outputting the voice data corresponding to the coordinate data; a voice output control unit(60) sampling the voice data received from the GPS module and then outputting the sampled data to plural output ports; and a digital/analog converter(90) converting a digital voice signal output from the voice output control unit into an analog signal and then outputting the signal in voice through a speaker(96). The GPS module comprises a non-volatile memory(30) storing the road information data and voice data input through the communication interface unit and a GPS control unit(40) storing the road information data and voice data transmitted from the external device, in the memory, searching the coordinate data corresponding to the satellite signal from the memory, and extracting and outputting the voice data corresponding to the searched coordinate data from the memory.
