The invention relates to a method, device and a communications system enabling a component out from several components (51, 52) of a motor vehicle to reliably communicate with at least one external communication partner (2, 2') by means of a wireless communication connection (3), wherein each said component (51, 52) comprises at least one data exchange communication module. The inventive method consists in exchanging data packets between the transmitting/receiving device of the vehicle and an external transmitting/receiving station, wherein the communication status of the wireless communication connection (3) is determined and a data exchange between said at least one component (51) and/or the external communication partner (2, 2') and the other components (52) and/or the access of said at least one component (51) and/or the external communication partner (2, 2') to other components (52) is authorised or stopped according to the communication status. A device and communication system for carrying out said method are also disclosed.
