Systems and methods for providing tradingexclusivity/priority in response to quantity of itemstraded in electronic trading systems is provided. Themethod preferably includes receiving an incoming orderfor the item and determining whether the incoming ordermatches a current order for the item and satisfies aminimum volume requirement. When the incoming ordermatches a current order for the item and satisfies aminimum volume requirement, the method includestransacting a trade between the incoming order and thecurrent order and providing a predetermined time periodof exclusive trading between a participant associatedwith the incoming order and a participant associatedwith the current order.
