The method for the surgical treatment of the recurrent inguinal hernia with the damaged inguinal ligament and the shared inguinal-femoral defect of the abdominal wall comprises the access to the inguinal canal, the incision of the aponeurosis of the external oblique muscle of the abdomen, the mobilization of the walls of the inguinal canal, the grasping of the spermatic cord with the holder, the separation and the resection of the hernial sac, the incision of the transverse fascia, the separation of the fascia from the pre-peritoneal fat, the plastics of the posterior wall of the inguinal canal, the reconstruction of the inguinal ligament with the aid of the polypropylene mesh, the fixation of the polypropylene mesh to the pubic tubercle, Cuper ligament, the remnants of the inguinal ligament, the periosteum of the anterior-superior wing of the ilium and the transverse aponeurosis and the internal oblique muscle of the abdomen.
