The invention relates to sports, in particular to methods for teaching slalom, to devices for exercising and developing skills for slalom skiing using downhill or water ski or a snowboard and to entertainment devices.In particular, the slalom simulator performs multiple repetition of cyclic movements of the slalomist's feet and body under conditions similar to those occurring in real skiing conditions along the slalom route and accompanied by respective perceptions.A method for teaching and training a slalomist comprises moving the slalomist's feet, skis or snowboard at timed intervals left or right relative to a stationary base of the slalom simulator, concurrently rotating the slalomist's feet, skis or snowboard at timed intervals clockwise or counterclockwise relative to the base, and reversing said movement and rotation of the slalomist's feet, skis or snowboard alternatively with the shifting of the initial phases of said movement, wherein the slalomist's feet, skis or snowboard positioned at an incline to the base, and wherein said movement and rotation of the slalomist's feet, skis or snowboard over one time interval correspond to the laws of slalom movement at least with respect to the translatory motion of the slalomist's feet, skis or snowboard during said movement thereof and the variation of the angular attitude of the slalomist's feet, skis or snowboard during said rotation thereof.The inventive slalom imitator comprises a base (1), a bearing element (2) which is mounted thereon in such a way that is right-left movable, a platform (4) which is arranged on said element in such a way that it is periodically rotatable therewith in a clockwise-counterclockwise manner and is provided with a supporting surface for the slalomist feet, ski or snowboard and an oscillating crank gear (6) for synchronising and reversing the bearing element (2) displacements and for rotating the platform (4). A crank (7) is fixed to the base (1) and is embodied in such a way that the slide which is arranged thereon has a closed motion path and movable along said crank in one direction and ensures the law of motion of the platform (4) with respect to the base (1) according to the law of motion with respect to the translatory motion when the slalomist feet, ski or snowboard are right-left displaceable and the angle position thereof is modified during said rotation and/or forward displacement thereof.
