Inhibition of fruit-falling from trees, particularly from apple and pear trees, comprises preparing a solution and/or suspension of 3,5,6-trichloro-2-pyridyloxy acetic acid (I), an alkylic ester or its salt, applying the solution on the fruit trees and harvesting the fruits, where the application is carried out 1-5 weeks before the corresponding date of first harvest in the absence of the application.
