Describes a method and apparatus for transfer between Radio Access Network deployed under different Radio Access Technologies. A wireless Transmit / receive unit is equipped with at least two radio units to support different Radio Access Technologies.Each Radio Access Network sends a list of Radio Access Network co located in the coverage area of the Radio Access Network to the wireless transmitting / receiving Unit. The Wireless transmitting / receiving Unit Stores the list and determines whether one of the Radio Access Network co located meets the criteria for transfer.Then, The Wireless transmitting / receiving Unit initiates a transfer from a current Radio Access Network to a Target Radio Access Network if it meets the criteria for transfer.Otherwise, The Wireless transmitting / receiving unit can send a measurement Report to the Network Radio Access Flow, whereby the latter determines if a Radio Access Network selected from the Radio Access Network co located meets the criteria To begin this last transfer to the Radio Access Network is selected.
