PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ferritic heat resistant steel having a high strength and toughness as a material for a boiler tube, etc., for improving the thermal efficiency of thermal power generation and for attaining high temp. and high- pressure in steam conditions, i.e., attaining what is called ultrasupercritical pressure conditions. ;SOLUTION: This ferritic heat resistant steel excellent in high temp. strength and normal temp. toughness can be obtd. by optimizing the amounts of Mo and W to be added and positively utilizing Co and B. The main chemical components are composed of, by weight, 0.05 to 0.15% C, ≤0.50% Si, 0.05 to 1.50% Mn, 8.00 to 13.00% Cr, ≤1.00% Ni, 0.50% Mo, 3.50 to 7.50% W, 0.10 to 0.30% V, 0.01 to 0.15% Nb, 2.00 to 7.00% Co, 0.01 to 0.10% N, 0.0010 to 0.0100% B, ≤1.00% Cu, and the balance Fe with inevitable impuritis.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
