PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stacked manganese dry battery for eliminating PVC of a tube for covering a cell stack, and restraining the deterioration of open circuit voltage after preservation. ;SOLUTION: This stacked manganese dry battery is provided with the cell stack for arranging a current collecting plate in a positive electrode mix upper part of the uppermost part by layering a plurality of unit cells, a wax layer for covering the periphery of the cell stack, and a thermally contractible resin tube for covering the cell stack from the outside of the wax layer.
