PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strengthening treatment method for the structure of the metallic material to be worked.;SOLUTION: The strengthening treatment method for the structure of the metallic material to be worked is attained from the three stages of (a) a stage where a metallic stock for the metallic material to be worked is produced; (b) a stage where the metallic stock is heated to a modifying temperature; and (c) a stage where the metallic stock is molded. As the metallic material to be worked, the metallic stock consisting of Ti-47Al-4.7 (Nb, Cr, Mn, Si)-0.5B is preferably used. The molding method is performed preferably by induction heating almost to 1,000C in a protective atmosphere, and torsion or compression at a fixed deformation rate.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
