PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an activity to extract an information related to a video displayed on a video reproducing apparatus from a particular information site over the Internet, using a personal mobile information terminal which is owned by a user viewing the video, without hardly putting a load on the user. PSOLUTION: A video reproducing apparatus displaying a video image data obtained from a digital storage medium or a digital communication medium has a short-range radio communication means for oneself as a main station to communicate via radio with a personal mobile information terminal as a subordinate station existing neighborhood according to a predefined protocol, and a URL notification means, when a URL is written with a predefined data structure along with the video data to be displayed and processed, to transmit a telegram message for transmitting the URL to the personal mobile information terminal in hyperlink format, using the short-range radio communication means.
