PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a regenerative braking system utilizing an electric automobile air-conditioning system to improve braking performance without adding a separate brake control unit and to secure a constant braking feel for a driver, and to provide a regenerative braking method.;SOLUTION: The regenerative braking method for an electric automobile includes a step to determine whether the brake of the automobile brake is in operation or not, a step to calculate regenerative current based on a brake operation value when the brake is in operation, a step to determine whether the regenerative current calculated is bigger than a battery current limit value or not, a step to calculate residual regenerative current when the regenerative current calculated is bigger than the battery current limit value, and a step to control the air-conditioning system to allow the whole or a part of the calculated residual regenerative electric force to be consumed by the air-conditioning system of the electric automobile.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
