PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an idle asset proposal program that makes a computer function as a device capable of proposing idle parts and idle software that improve the performance of a personal computer in use in an organization.;SOLUTION: A computer 10 has in an HDD 10g a hardware asset table 13 and a hardware product information table 14 recording information on the type, specification value and idle part flag of each part of each personal computer as an asset of a given organization, and an software operation condition table 11 and a software asset table 12 recording information on a specification value minimally required from each type of part by each piece of software as an idle asset of the organization. According to the proposal program 17A, a CPU 10a, when idle software to be installed in a personal computer is selected, calculates an insufficient specification value, searches idle parts for a part capable of compensating the insufficiency, and shows information on the part on a proposal screen 23.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
