PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an EL display driving device in which unevenness in luminance that is generated in a scanning direction is effectively suppressed when the display is driven by a line sequential scanning system and also an offset driving system.;SOLUTION: In order to display an image on an EL display panel 1, the direction in which line sequential scanning is conducted for a scanning electrode 201 or the like is reversed for every constant period. Thus, generating condition of polarized electric charges in EL elements 111 or the like, which are arranged in the scanning direction, is averaged, light emitting luminance in the scanning direction of the panel 1 is averaged and unevenness in luminance is properly eliminated without reducing an offset voltage.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
