PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly secure accuracy for hypoid pinion positioning in a simple configuration.;SOLUTION: The hypoid reduction gear unit comprises: a hypoid pinion shaft (input shaft) 140 which rotates integrally with a motor shaft 102; a hypoid pinion 142 formed by gear cutting in the top end of the hypoid pinion shaft 140 making a predetermined reference plane R102 formed in the hypoid pinion shaft 140 as a manufacturing reference plane; a hypoid gear 150 engaged with the hypoid pinion 142; and a connecting member (positioning member) 110 which ensures positioning in the axial direction of the hypoid pinion 142 toward a casing 130, while it is abutted on the reference plane R102, and being mounted unmovably in the axial direction on the hypoid pinion shaft 140 and the casing 130.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
