PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mesoporous carbon composite having a reduced surface resistance, a method of preparing the same, a supported catalyst containing the mesoporous carbon composite and a fuel cell using the same. PSOLUTION: The mesoporous carbon composite includes mesoporous carbon having mesopores, a conductive polymer coated on only an outer surface of the mesoporous carbon and an organic electrolyte comprising a lithium salt and an organic solvent. The method of preparing the mesoporous carbon composite, the supported catalyst containing the mesoporous carbon composite, and the fuel cell provided with an electrode containing the mesoporous carbon composite are provided. Because the surface of the mesoporous composite is coated with the conductive polymer, the surface resistance is reduced to efficiently transfer electric energy. Then, the mesoporous carbon composite is capable of being used as a conductive material of the electrode for the fuel cell or a catalyst support for the electrode and in the case particularly being used as the catalyst support of the electrode, the fuel cell having improved performance such as efficiency is manufactured with the use of the supported catalyst containing the catalyst support.
