PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray CT examining apparatus which can easily specify an abnormal area in the vicinity of the mamma.;SOLUTION: This X-ray CT examining apparatus 2 for the mamma includes a mamma shaping means 30, an X-ray generating means 16, and a transmitted X-ray detecting means 18. In this case, the mamma shaping means 30 can shape the mamma without holding the mamma by supporting at least a part of the mamma. The X-ray generating means 16 can irradiate the area of the mamma which has been shaped by the mamma shaping means 30 with an X ray. The transmitted X-ray detecting means 18 faces the X-ray generating means 16. Thus, the detection of the abnormal area is facilitated, and at the same time, pains accompanying the examination can be suppressed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
