METHOD FOR MANAGING SIGNAL MEASUREMENTS IN WIRELESS NETWORK, STATION ADAPTED TO COOPERATE WITH CENTRALIZED MEASUREMENT MANAGER UNIT, CENTRALIZED MANAGEMENT UNIT ADAPTED TO PROCESS MEASUREMENTS IN THE WIRELESS NETWORK AND SYSTEM FOR MANAGING MEASUREMENTS IN THE WIRELESS NETWORK
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately observe the quality level of a network, while suppressing consumption of bandwidth relating to the transmission of measurement results.;SOLUTION: A wireless network comprises at least one station (102), adapted to perform measurements of at least one given type, and a centralised measurement manager (CMM) unit (101) for handling the measurements of the type. The CMM unit sends a measurement request message (201) for requesting that this station perform a measurement of the given type, this request message comprising a triggering information. Upon the receipt of the measurement request message (201), the station performs (202) measurement and obtains (203), corresponding measurement results. Then, it is decided (204) whether at least a part of the measurement results is to be sent to the CMM unit, based on the triggering information.
