PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for performing signal regeneration appropriately irrespective of the length of a period that dropped out by impression of pulse noise. PSOLUTION: The pulse noise canceler comprises: an FFT circuit which performs fast Fourier transform processing for an OFDM signal which is an input signal; a re-mapping circuit which performs re-mapping processing for the FFT circuit output; an IFFT circuit which performs fast inverse Fourier transform for the re-mapping circuit output; a delay circuit which outputs the OFDM signal which is an input signal by delaying for the time required for each processing performed by the FFT circuit, the re-mapping circuit, and the IFFT circuit; and a comparison/permutation circuit which inputs the IFFT circuit output and the delay circuit output, outputs the IFFT circuit output for a period that a difference in levels of each output is a predetermined ratio or higher, and outputs the delay circuit output for other periods.
