PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refractory tester constituted so as to well reproduce the effect of a refractory caused by a molten material in a ceramic furnace.;SOLUTION: A refractory sample 10, which is almost cylindrical and has a crucible 11 provided on its one end in its axial direction, is cut and formed from the refractory in a state of having the axial direction in the direction of crossing a pressurizing direction at the time of molding. The refractory sample 10 is supported by the water cooling panel 310 of a cooling part 300 in a state that its axial direction is almost set in a vertical direction and the peripheral surface of the refractory sample 10 is covered with a heat insulating member 400 in a state thermally insulated through a gap. The refractory sample 10 is subjected to high-frequency induction heating on the side of the crucible 11 in which the molten material 20 is charged while forcibly cooling the lower end of the refractory sample 10 by the cooling part 300.
