PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic wave absorber which improves an electromagnetic wave absorption volume. PSOLUTION: The electromagnetic wave absorber is composed of a lamination of a pattern layer 5 and a loss layer. The pattern layer 5 has patterns 12 formed thereon, which are made of a conductive material, such as metal. When the area of the entire part of the pattern layer is 1, the part where the patterns 12 are formed has an area of 0.6 or more.
