PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a current-controlled DC-DC converter, wherein when power supply thereto is turned on or off, output voltage is smoothly ramp-controlled and a circuit and a method for controlling this converter.;SOLUTION: The control circuit includes: a flip-flop circuit that controls switching of a main switch element in the DC-DC converter; and an oscillation circuit that is connected to a set terminal of the flip-flop circuit and, when the DC-DC converter is in a state of transition between stopped state and steady operation state, outputs an oscillation signal whose oscillation frequency is gradually increased/decreased in accordance with increase/decrease in the output voltage value of the DC-DC converter. In the process of the output voltage being gradually increased/decreased, the oscillation frequency of the oscillation signal is gradually increased/decreased and the time interval between times when the main switch element is set into conduction is lengthened. Too much power for output voltage is not supplied, and output voltage can be shaped into smooth ramp waveform.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
