PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a thermally sprayed film on a metal foil, by which a surface to be thermal sprayed can be sufficiently and uniformly cooled, the buckling or deformation of the metal foil caused the nonuniformity of stress generated by the heat of fluid during spraying can be sufficiently suppressed, and the thermally sprayed film having a uniform thickness can be formed when thermal spraying on a thin metal foil is performed, and a metal foil having a thermally sprayed film having excellent flatness thereon can be obtained.;SOLUTION: In the method for forming the thermally sprayed film on a metal foil 2 by thermally spraying a thermal spray material onto the surface of the metal foil 2, the method for forming the thermally sprayed film is characterized by thermal spraying the thermal spray material onto the surface of the metal foil 2 under such a condition that a cooling action part 11 of a cooling device is brought into contact with the rear surface of the metal foil 2 and at the same time, irradiating at least three different parts of the area close to the periphery surrounding an area being irradiated with a thermal spray flame on the surface of the metal foil 2 with a jet gas-flow during thermal spraying.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
