PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method realizing associated visualization to localize abnormalities in a system and a method for automated airway evaluation using an airway lumen diameter, an airway wall thickness and a broncho-arterial ratio. PSOLUTION: A bronchial tree is segmented, the segmented bronchial tree is modeled, and a first ratio which is a ratio between the diameter of the airway lumen and the diameter of an artery accompanying the airway in the segmented and modeled bronchial tree is computed or a second ratio which is a ratio between the diameter of the artery and a thickness of the airway wall is computed, or a tapering index which indicates a tapering of the diameter of the airway lumen is computed. The first ratio, second ratio or tapering index is scored and color-coded, and the segmented, modeled and color-coded bronchial tree is visualized according to the first ratio, second ratio or tapering index.
