PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine whether abnormality occurs or not by using power consumption for each individual, and to notify the occurrence of abnormality. PSOLUTION: A living condition monitoring system in which a client terminal installed on a user's home side is communicated to a server through a communication network in a communicable manner, is equipped with: a means for, in the server, receiving data obtained by patterning a user's daily power consumption state and a daily power consumption state received from a client terminal installed in the vicinity of a user's home and storing the received data in a database; a means for comparing the patterned data with the power consumption data received from the client terminal and stored and extracting a difference; a means for determining the detection of abnormality occurrence when the extracted difference is compared with a predetermined threshold data and the difference exceeds the threshold; and a means for notifying the detection of abnormality occurrence to a previously determined destination.
