PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a utility pole, a utility pole stress evaluator, a utility pole stress evaluation system, and a utility pole stress evaluation method, for appropriately evaluating stresses in the whole of the utility pole.;SOLUTION: This utility pole comprises a concrete pole for supporting electric wire, one continuous optical fiber cable disposed within the concrete of the concrete pole in the longitudinal direction of the concrete pole, and a take-out port for taking out one end of the fiber cable. As the result of causing pulse light to enter the fiber cable, which is taken out through the take-out port, from one end of the fiber cable toward the other end, the reflective light is received corresponding to the pulse light between the one end and the other end to evaluate the stress on the concrete pole based on the received light power of the received reflective light.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
