PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric ceramic obtained by sintering a lead-free ceramic comprised of ceramic powder, in particular nano-sized barium titanate powder having dielectric and piezoelectric property and a method for manufacturing the same, obtained piezoelectric ceramic provides a material suitable for various piezoelectric vibrators, elements for ultrasonic flaw detection etc., an actuator, and many sensors.;SOLUTION: The dielectric and piezoelectric ceramic is prepared by sintering nano-sized barium titanate powder having dielectric and piezoelectric property at the highest temperature from 1,050 to 1,200°C during the sintering.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
