Traffic signal violation detecting device for traffic lane, has two barometric tubes disposed at primary and secondary traffic signal lines, and one counter measuring elapsed time after vehicle crosses secondary signal line
The device has a barometric tube (50) at the level of a primary signal line of a traffic signal (1). A counter (7) measures an elapsed time between a change of a signaling state of the signal (1) and a crossing of the signal (1) by a vehicle. A barometric tube (60) is disposed on or in the vicinity of a secondary signal line. A counter (8) measures another elapsed time after the vehicle crosses the secondary signal line. A timing device (12) is connected to the tubes at a distance corresponding to the gap between axles of the vehicle. An independent claim is also included for a method for supplying information relative to the type of crossing.
