The device has fuses (15-18), where one fuse (15) protects multiple lines supplying different electrical power units (7-9). The unit (7) is of low power and is connected to a power distribution unit (13) by an electric wire (1) of large length and low section. A low rating fuse (26) is irremovably fixed in series with the wire such that the fuse (26) melts near the unit (7) in case of short-circuit at the ground. The fuse (26) is fixed at one of its ends, in the form of a tab, to a denuded end of the wire by crimping of a silvered metal sleeve.
