Battery`s e.g. lithion-ion battery, state of charge estimating system for motor vehicle, has calculating module to calculate intermediate state of charge by interpolating current and voltage values in memory for temperature values
The system has a control unit (5) including a reading unit (21) to read actual current and voltage from sensors (11, 13). The reading unit connects a calculating module (23) and a controlling module (19) that controls power source for placing a battery in charge state. The module (23) calculates intermediate state of charge by interpolating current and voltage values in a memory (25) for temperature values. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method of estimating state of charge of a battery (2) a recording medium including instructions for executing a method of estimating state of charge of a battery.
