Brake piston`s parking position locking device for automatic hydraulic parking brake of vehicle, has electromagnetic actuator actuating cylindrical helical spring for liberating rotation of cylindrical unit around locking unit
The device has a locking unit (8) for mechanically locking a brake piston (1) of a parking brake, and a cylindrical unit (6) equipped with ball bearings and an inner thread (6a) being in mesh with an outer thread (8a) of the unit (8). A cylindrical helical spring (4) prevents or liberates rotation of the unit (6) around the unit (8). An electromagnetic actuator actuates the spring for liberating the rotation of the unit (6). An independent claim is also included for an automatic parking brake comprising a locking device.
