The terminal has a reception unit (205) receiving a digital file representing multimedia contents. An identification unit (210) identifies a type of user terminal. A determining unit (215) determines a format of the file to be read by the user terminal. A formatting unit (220) formats the contents into a preset format to be read by the user terminal.
