The method involves auto-forming micro-patterns on a support from a sample having a mixture of protein and a solvent. The micro-patterns and/or effects induced during and/or after their formation are examined to produce examination results. The results are compared with reference data to produce comparison data. The comparison data are processed to produce analyzing information of the sample. The reference data are produced by applying previously the sequence of preparation and examination to a mixture of a reference substance and the solvent in predetermined proportions. An independent claim is also included for a system for analyzing a sample comprising a mixture of a protein and a solvent.
