The device has a terminal (1) with an input unit and an indicating unit for querying and indicating product data from a database. The database has an administration-interface, an interface to a merchandise management and an interface to a computer network. One of the interfaces is assigned to the terminal. The administration-interface allows data exchange with the database such that data sets are created, varied and deleted.
