Biogas production unit with a dry fermenter and a percolate processor comprising a chamber for heating up percolate from the dry fermenter and a chamber for methanising organic acids in the percolate
A biogas production unit with dry fermenter(s) (1) and percolate processor(s) (6), in which (6) comprises two connected chambers, one (7) for heating percolate from (1) and the other (8) for methanising organic acid in the heated percolate using suitable micro-organisms; the fermenter (8) also has a delivery tube for biogas and there are connections from (6) to (1). A biogas production unit with dry fermenter(s) (A) and percolate processor(s) (A), in which percolate is transferred from (A) to (B) and from (B) to (A). In this system, (a) the processor (6) consists of at least two closed chambers connected together, acting as heating chambers (7) for percolate from a dry fermenter (1) and fermentation chambers (8) for methanising the organic acids dissolved in the heated percolate; (b) the fermentation chamber (8) has at least one structural body with a large surface area for growing methane-forming micro-organisms which bring about the degradation of organic acids formed in the fermenter (1) with the formation of biogas (9); (c) the fermenter (8) has a delivery tube for the biogas; (d) there are connections from the percolate processor (6) to the dry fermenter (1).
