Filtering and drainage body comprises square-shaped system elements each having an inspection passage opening into the filtering passage. An independent claim is also included for a system element for the above body. Preferred Features: A filtering tubular section (8) is arranged in the filtering passage. A shaft section is arranged in the inspection passage. The system elements each have a break-off (7) for closing the filtering passage. The inspection passage opens at right angles into the filtering passage.
