The device has a connection area in which a mounting plate (2) has an integrated engagement unit and a door lock (1) has an integrated retaining unit. The engagement unit cooperates with the retaining unit, so that a closed region is formed in the area. Electrical connecting units are arranged in the region. The units interlock with one another so that a pressing force is produced between the lock and the plate. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle door comprising a door lock.
