Components of a joint profile, such as anchors and by-pass units, are formed of synthetic material e.g. polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride, and coated with synthetic or fluorescent dyes. The dyes are colored black, light or dark gray, beige, blue, green, red, or brown, or provide metallic effects similar to brass, stainless steel, gold, copper, or chrome.
