The method involves performing computation of a projection matrix (57). The projection matrix specifies an allocation of a position of a point of a placed object to information contents that are assigned to projection pixels. A set of calibration matrices (58, 59) is computed in advance for computation of the projection matrix, where each calibration matrix is assigned to a calibration position of the system. An independent claim is also included for a device for determining acquisition geometry of a picture producing system.
