The unit has pre-assembled parts whose shape and size are predetermined such that the parts are mounted and mechanically fastened directly in e.g. windows without further processing. The parts serve as soffits and as a lintel, which include an embedded fabric that are made of polystyrol, and are coated with an alkali-resistant cast-fabric and a water-repellant adhesive reinforcing material. The outer surfaces of the parts are provided with a plaster support (9), particularly a fiber-glass reinforcement (8).
