Paper web repairing method for e.g. rotary-roller offset printing machine, involves detecting partial flaw e.g. edge crack or defected paper area, and pasting thin, sticker-like repairing unit e.g. textile material, on defected area
The method involves detecting and locating a partial flaw e.g. edge crack or holes, or a defected paper position comprising a defected paper area by a detecting device (24). The tear or the defected position in the passing through a paper web (34) is repaired, without blocking the web, in a repairing station (30).A thin, sticker-like repairing unit e.g. plastic or aluminum or paper or textile material, is pasted on the defected area, where the unit has a width of the web. The web with the unit is passed through a paper processing machine. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for repairing a paper web, comprising a detecting device (2) a paper processing machine.
