The method involves executing a discrete Fourier-transform in time-discrete multitone modulation (DMT) signals to generate frequency discrete base receipt signals. The frequency discrete signals are multiplied with a frequency-dependent correction factor to generate frequency-discrete correction signals. A discrete inverse Fourier-transform is executed in the frequency discrete correction signals to generate time-discrete correction signals. The time-discrete correction signals are added with the time-discrete DMT signals to generate time-discrete corrected receipt signals. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an arrangement for receiving discrete multitone modulation signals (2) a method for transmitting discrete multitone modulation signals (3) an arrangement for transmitting frequency-discrete multitone modulation-symbol-signals.
