The device has a charged coupled device (CCD) camera (16) used with Internet protocol (IP) and wide dynamic range (WDR) function according to television (TV) standard for analysis of an reflection modulation against an atmospheric reflection layer (14). The CCD camera includes an aspheric panorama lens with voltage controlled screen having maximum resolution of 752x582 pixel for detecting the reflection radiation (15) of a fire. The camera is attached to an Internet browser. An independent claim is also included for a method of remote detection of fire, in particular forest fire, in night time by using a camera.
