The low-temperature expansion machine carries out evaporation, expansion and the conversion of thermal energy into mechanical energy in only one component of the machine, namely the rotor. The machine alternately applies doses condensate of a working gas and working fluid into evaporation and expansion tubes and accelerates the working fluid with the evaporation pressure of the gas. Mechanical energy is obtained by ejecting the working fluid out of the outlet tubes while producing a torque tangential to the cylinder. An independent claim is also included for a compression cooling machine.
