Fuel tank for motor vehicle, has metallic hollow space for retaining energy source e.g. steel plate, where part of steel plate is integrated in base assembly and tank is designed as carrying part of base assembly
The tank (1) has a metallic hollow space for retaining an energy source e.g. steel plate. A part of the steel plate is integrated in a base assembly (3), where the tank is designed as a carrying part of the base assembly. Deformation zones in connection areas of the tank are provided with another part or area of the base assembly, where the zones have ribs. An opening is provided for retaining of a filler neck. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a receptacle storing energy.
